WORKING WITH THE LIGHT
Light is known as one of the attributes attached to the nature of God. As such, light, like God Himself, is intimately linked to every phase and dimension of our very existence, on whatever level we may come in contact with it: spiritual, mental, emotional or physical. Just as we cannot conceive of our existence and our life apart from God, so we can be certain that our existence and our life are fundamentally inseparable from light.
God, our divine Source, from whom all blessings flow, gives us His light, divine light, so that we may use it to find our way through life and create our experience, in the same manner as He brings about the entire creation out of the original light He calls forth with the word, “Let there be light.”
A great deal of responsibility rests on our shoulders when it comes to running our individual lives. Yes, we have the light of God to help
us make wise decisions and learn what we need to know; we have the light of God to give us the stamina to forge ahead through the challenges of life; we have the light of God to help us strike the proper balance between our personal desire to move ahead toward our goals and objectives on one hand, and on the other hand the wisdom to let go and listen to the voice of God which always offers the best answers. Yet, because of our privilege of free will, we must take the initiative of using the light.
To use the light, to work with it, what do we need to know about it? Regarding the light, what is it about which we need to be so deeply convinced? We need to know that the light of God is an extension of God and carries the qualities of God, such as His infinite love, wisdom and power. We need to know that the light of God is the perfection of God put at our disposal. It will go wherever we send it and will release patterns of perfection when sent not just with some hope and belief but with a faith that knows that the highest and the best are already here and now awaiting our full and total acceptance.
Working with the light means using our imagination in the silence of our soul to picture the light at work wherever we send it, to see it dissolving any and all patterns of imperfection and bringing forth patterns of perfection that reflect the divine plan for whatever is being considered. That means picturing the light at work in our body for healing, at work in relationships to improve and maintain harmony, at work in situations to bring about the manifestation of God’s will of good, success, abundance and beauty.
Working with the light is getting our personal self and its limited, false beliefs out of the way to let the Higher Power in expression through the light create the new reality our human eyes could not see and accept before. This calls for patience, persistence, perseverance, until our inner awareness of this divine light puts us in synchronization with the Divine Intention which creates everything that is worthy of being called good and very good. And when in the inner world, silently, we see the results of the light doing its perfect works, we will also see perfect results in the outer world, to our amazement and our great satisfaction.
“I thank and praise the divine Presence within, above and around me for the gift of the light... Remembering the invitation,
“Concerning the work of my hand command ye me.” I saiah 45:11, I gratefully claim and use my God-given right to command the perfect light within me to fulfill my desires for the manifestation of the divine plan of good wherever I send it . Amen” |
